Cinnamon-caramel toasts with chocolate soup

Good tasty Thursday to everyone! Here's a yummy recipe from my "best", who happens to be one of the best cooks I've ever known. Thanks Ne for the recipe!


Cinnamon-caramel toasts with chocolate soup
for the toast
3 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
dash of ground cinnamon
8 slices bread
butter for pan-frying

for the chocolate soup
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread
dash of salt
1 cup full-cream milk
1 cup all-purpose cream

1. prepare the toast: in a bowl, combine butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Spread evenly on one side of each bread slice. Melt some butter in a nonstick pan. Fry the bread, with the buttered side up, until golden brown. Flip to brown the other side. Drain on paper towels.

2. Prepare the soup: in a saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, choco-hazelnut spread, and salt. Heat until smooth. In another bowl, combine milk and cream and heat just until simmering. Add the melted chocolate and whisk until smooth. Pour into bowls or cups. Drizzle with more cream and serve with the toasts.
