Happy Valentines Day!

On February 14, Malcolm and I will celebrate our 8th Valentines Day together. In the early years, prior to having Mai, Valentines Day is a holiday for us. We (and when I say we I mean Malcolm) always go above and beyond to celebrate the day of love. It's like we considered it an official holiday of our marriage. Corny as it sounds, we really make a big deal out of it. There was a time we celebrated it in Vegas; Another in Disneyland - where we just played like kids... SO MUCH FUN! There was a time where we can't really get off work that week, so we just bunked up in the nearest hotel where we lounged all day in our in-room Jacuzzi. But after Micah (although the year we had her, we were in Hawaii, so it's like we celebrated it that year too), it has become harder to carve out some time and money to make this day a big deal as it was.

But a few months ago, I chanced upon this website that lead me to discover the world of Branson, MO. And for this V-day, I saw that Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel have romance packages that are just to die for! With their packages come early check-in and late check-out (upon request). Ah! The joys of early check-in! And they also give a bottle of sparkler to hasten the V-day festivities! Ooh-la-la! They also offer a full American breakfast for two and, if you stay beyond one night, they offer buy one get one free lunch or dinner! Is that a deal or what?

And they have this amazing restaurant called Level 2 steakhouse and they offer the most scrumptious sounding entrees, like, the one that just jumps out for me on their online menu is their main course from their pre-set Valentines Dinner menu, CHATEAUBRIAND WAGYU BEEF TENDERLOIN with Seared Foie Gras, Tourne Yukon Gold Potatoes, Steamed Asparagus and Foyot Sauce. Doesn't that just sound divine? Oh, and their dessert, ASKINOSIE CHOCOLATE BUTTER CAKE with Grand Marnier Infused Whipped Cream, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Warm Crème Anglaise. Oh my, if that doesn't start the romance, I don't know what will!

So this V-day, what will you do? Hopefully Malcolm and I can find a babysitter soon! :-)
