Where to go - where to go... Branson, MO?

This post brought to you by Hilton Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

Malcolm and I were thinking the other day if we should go anywhere for winter this year. Our usual trip was to just drive south to Anaheim and go to Disneyland. But this year, we are thinking somewhere colder than the Bay Area... somewhere where we can actually experience the real winter - snow and everything! I think it's about time as Mai and I haven't seen snow yet, ever! So as we are looking for places, I happen to chance upon Branson, MO. A friend of mine actually went there recently and she said that she didn't know what to expect of the place, but after she came back, all she had were wonderful stories of her and her family's experience in Branson. She said that the Branson Area Festival of lights was just amazing - very festive for the entire family who loves the holidays; and the Kirby VanBurch Show was just mind-boggling! She said that Branson is really a great family vacation spot.

So, with her rave reviews, I checked it out. I was expecting it to be costly since it's the holidays. But it's a surprise to me that at this busy time of the year, there are a lot of great deals for hotels, namely for the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel and Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. Both Hiltons of Branson offer special room rates with savings up to 50% available from December 12-30! Plus there are a lot of activities for the entire family to enjoy on both hotels, namely:

1. SANTA'S VISIT! He's actually available for breakfast from 9-11am at the level 2 Steakhouse until 12/19! This sure is going to be a fun experience to Mai since she loves Santa very much! And Santa's also available for picture taking in the lobby of the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel from 4:30-6:30pm until 12/24.

2. Mrs. Santa is also at the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel for the Story time with Mrs. Claus. She's there every Friday and Saturday near the Christmas Tree of the hotel lobby from 5-7pm until the 12/18. And the best part, It's free to enjoy by everyone in your family!

I can't believe that I haven't really looked into going to Branson, MO. With all the cost-effective activities and accommodations, our family maybe hopping in a plane headed to Branson anytime now. And with the promise of "snow", why else would we want to spend the holidays elsewhere!
